A Kaizer Chiefs supporter has decided to walk away from the club, saying years of disappointment have left him with no choice.

Ofentse Molefe officially announced his resignation as a Kaizer Chiefs supporter in a letter dated 9 August 2026.

Molefe said he had remained loyal to the club through both good and difficult times. However, he believes the current direction of the club has become increasingly frustrating for supporters.

Among his concerns are what he described as management not taking fans seriously, a lack of quality player signings and the absence of a clear vision for the team.

He also said being a Kaizer Chiefs supporter had started to feel like a “joke”, despite the club’s rich history and passionate fan base.
“I deserve better as a supporter.

I deserve a club that values its fans, invests in success, and fights for greatness,” Molefe said.
His decision has sparked conversation among Amakhosi supporters, with many likely to relate to the frustrations surrounding the club’s recent performances and direction.

Molefe ended his letter by wishing Kaizer Chiefs and the club’s “real fans” well for the future.
His resignation raises a simple question: How far can a loyal supporter be pushed before walking away?
