At the Albert Park, Durban, a young entrepreneur known as Sihle Nala, who sells homemade scones, received a life-changing surprise during the Zwide Maskandi Launch held in Albert Park, Durban, on 19 September 2026.

During the event, popular Maskandi artist Mjolisi noticed Nala selling his cakes among the crowd and invited him onto the stage. The singer praised the young man’s hard work and encouraged fans to support local businesses.

“As the Zwide Music Festival, we are buying this scones, also the councillor say he will also buy,” Mjolisi, a maskandi singer said.

As a further gesture of support, Mjolisi and the event organizers presented Nala with a free ticket to the upcoming Maskandi event at Curries Fountain on 24 September 2026. “Because we also want him to sell these scones at curries fountain, the only ticket that is left we’ll be given to him,” Mjolisi added. They also invited him to sell his cakes at the event.

Nala expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying the support would help grow his small business and inspire other young entrepreneurs.
“Thank you very much, this is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. God bless everyone who has supported me” Nala said.
