Losing his job at Ukhozi FM amid sweeping changes at SABC last month did not stop Mhlo “Mhlo” Sibisi from celebrating a major personal milestone.
The former Vuka Breakfast Show sports presenter tied the knot with Nomthi Mpanza on 25 May at his home in Glebe, Inanda. Images from the lavish ceremony were shared on social media by the bride, drawing warm congratulations from friends, family, and supporters.
Among those present was Sipho Mbatha, popularly known as DJ Sgqemeza, who is believed to have officiated the ceremony. Sibisi is among several well-known presenters who recently exited Ukhozi FM following programming changes that left many listeners shocked. The station, one of Africa’s largest, commands an audience of around 7.5 million.
Despite the career setback, Sibisi’s wedding marked a joyful new chapter, showing resilience in the face of unexpected change.
