PINETOWN, KZN — A KwaZulu-Natal family is appealing to the public for help in locating 30-year-old Zanele Samkelisiwe, who has been missing since Wednesday morning.
Samkelisiwe left her home on Shannon Drive in Reservoir Hills at around 10:00 on 16 September 2026, telling her family that she was travelling by public transport to Pinetown to buy lunch items for her children.
According to her family, Samkelisiwe contacted them at approximately 11:45, confirming that she was still in Pinetown. Nothing during the conversation suggested that she was in danger.
However, her whereabouts have remained unknown since then, leaving her family increasingly worried.
Speaking about the disappearance, the family said they are desperate for answers and are appealing to anyone who may have seen Samkelisiwe to come forward.
“She left home to run an ordinary errand for her children. We are extremely worried because we have not heard from her since,” the family said.
Samkelisiwe was last seen wearing a brown dress, white shirt and black hat. She is approximately 1.55 metres tall, has a chubby build and light complexion, and wears feed-in cornrows, commonly known as a Snoopy hairstyle.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating Samkelisiwe is urged to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on 086 1234 333.
