Police are searching for a woman believed to hold key information in the murder of popular DJ Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras.
Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi, 40, is wanted on allegations of murder and conspiracy to commit murder following the shooting of Stock in central Johannesburg on 16 December 2025.
The case has revealed a bitter dispute over money and control at the Zambesi Building, where Stock’s security company had been hired to help manage the property. Investigators believe tensions grew after plans were introduced to tighten security and take control of rent collection.
Stock was allegedly threatened before he was shot several times outside the building.
Police claim Buthelezi, who is believed to be the girlfriend of murder accused Victor Majola, may have sent photographs and personal information about Stock to Majola.
For those who knew the popular DJ and businessman, the long-running investigation is another painful reminder of the violence that ended his life.
Majola remains behind bars after being denied bail, while the alleged gunman has reportedly agreed to a plea deal that will result in an effective 25-year prison sentence.
Police have appealed to the public for information that could help locate Buthelezi.
