ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Chairperson Zwakele Mncwango spent the voter registration weekend visiting several voting stations in Umlazi Ward 81, Inanda and KwaMashu as the party intensified its campaign ahead of the 4 November 2026 Local Government Elections.

Mncwango said the party had covered a significant number of voting districts (VDs) during the registration weekend, with teams deployed across the INK (Inanda, Ntuzuma and KwaMashu) areas to conduct door-to-door campaigns encouraging eligible residents to register and verify their voting details.
“We have covered a great number of voting districts this weekend.

Our teams have been on the ground engaging communities, reminding people of the importance of registering to vote.

We are encouraged by the response from residents who came out to register,” said Mncwango.
Among those who updated their details was Themba Nyawo, who recently relocated from Waterloo to Inanda.
“I am happy that I managed to change my voting district because I have moved from Waterloo to Inanda. It is important for me to vote where I now live,” said Nyawo.

First-time voter Nomsa Mthembu also registered during the weekend and expressed excitement about participating in the elections.
“This is my first time registering to vote. I can’t wait to vote because I already know which political party I will support. I’m looking forward to 4 November 2026,” said Mthembu.

The voter registration campaign forms part of ongoing efforts by political parties to encourage maximum participation in the upcoming municipal elections.
