The 2026 Umkhosi weSivivane has officially begun at the eMashobeni Royal Palace and Mpakama in oPhongolo, northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Running from July 31 to August 3, the four-day cultural celebration combines traditional reed-cutting ceremonies led by Ndlunkulu KaMawewe with women’s empowerment programmes focused on addressing key social challenges.
