KwaZulu-Natal’s top boxing talents are gearing up for a high-stakes clash against Eastern Cape opponents at the Jan Smuts Stadium in KuGompo City on May 23.Promoter Sandile Vilakazi has expressed strong confidence in his fighters, backing Sanele Msimang, Nhlakanipho Kunene and Lindelani Sibisi to deliver standout performances.

Msimang faces a stern test against former world champion Xolisani Ndongeni in what is expected to headline the tournament. Ndongeni, who is set for his final professional bout, will be aiming to end his career on a high.Kunene challenges Nhlanhla Tyirha for the vacant IBO minimumweight title, while Sibisi defends his crown against Bongani Fule.

Vilakazi believes his fighters can upset the odds, describing Kunene as a dangerous underdog and backing Sibisi to repeat past success.The tournament promises fireworks as rising stars and seasoned champions collide.
