All eyes are on Durban as the Metro FM Music Awards 2026 prepare for a big night of music, fashion and celebration. The event will take place on 25 April at the Durban ICC, bringing together top South African artists and fans.
The main hosts for the evening are Lerato Kganyago and Lawrence Maleka. Organisers say the pair will bring energy and excitement to the stage. Lawrence Maleka shared his excitement online, encouraging fans to attend and support their favourite artists.
The line-up also includes Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena and Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi, who will host the Green Room and interview winners backstage. Lamiez Holworthy will host the Black Carpet, while Zola Mhlongo will add her voice to the show.
The music festival at Moses Mabhida Stadium promises a lively atmosphere. Performers include Big Zulu, Mafikizolo, DJ Tira, Young Stunna and Simmy, among others.
Award-winning producer Zakes Bantwini will lead the music direction, adding quality to the performances.
With a strong host team and exciting performer line-up, Durban is ready to host one of South Africa’s biggest music events of the year.
