Durban City coach Pitso Dladla has attributed the team building exercise organised by management ahead of the Nedbank Cup semis against Casric Stars at Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday.Dladla believes the get away where players were taught the importance of fighting for each other, came through for them in edging the Motsepe Foundation Championship with a 1-0 win, courtesy of an own goal.
Speaking after the tough match, the Durban side coach paid tribute to the management for coming up with the team building idea.
He said when Casric put them under the sword in the second half, he saw team fighting spirit coming through in his team. With TS Galaxy v Milford FC set to lock horns in the other semis on Sunday in Mpumalanga, Dladla says they won’t choose which side they will face in the final. It’s first time since 2017 a KZN side features in the cup finals.
