Two young men have died following a devastating single-vehicle crash on the N2 freeway in Durban in the early hours of Saturday morning. According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, emergency crews responded shortly after midnight to the northbound carriageway near the M7 off-ramp.
On arrival, paramedics were met with a scene of severe destruction after a vehicle reportedly veered off the N2 Freeway and rolled multiple times.“The vehicle came to rest on its side, and both occupants are believed to have been ejected during the crash,” Jamieson said.
The victims, believed to be in their 20s, were declared dead at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries.The cause of the crash remains unknown. Police have opened an investigation and are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the tragedy.
