The “We Are Saved” Pre-Easter Gospel Festival attracted an overwhelming turnout this past weekend, drawing more than 50,000 attendees to the Mhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay and surpassing organisers’ expectations.
Event organiser Lindani Dladla praised his team for delivering a successful and spiritually uplifting gathering. He noted that the original target of 30,000 attendees was exceeded by a significant margin, reflecting strong public enthusiasm for the event’s lineup.

The festival created an atmosphere of faith, unity and hope, with several pastors leading prayers that addressed key social challenges, including gender-based violence, road safety and general wellbeing during the Easter period.
Hosted by 247 Spotlight in partnership with Ukhozi FM, the programme was guided by well-known personalities Phindi P, Linda Sibiya and Denis Nkonzo, who kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.
Gospel stars including Khaya Mthethwa, Oncemore Six, Sipho Makhabane and Dumi Mkokstad delivered powerful performances, contributing to a memorable night of praise and worship.

Organisers have encouraged continued public support, promising an even bigger festival in future.
