Durban residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a day of food, music and culture at the eThekwini Kota Festival, taking place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 6 June.The festival will run from 10am until 10pm and is expected to attract food lovers, families and music fans from across KwaZulu-Natal.

Organisers are encouraging attendees to dress according to the event theme, “Ezase Mzansi – Modern Bhinca”, which celebrates modern South African fashion and culture.The event will showcase some of KZN’s best kota vendors, offering visitors a chance to enjoy one of South Africa’s most popular street foods.

Known for its delicious fillings and unique flavours, the kota remains a favourite meal for many South Africans.Festival goers can also look forward to live music performances, entertainment and a lively atmosphere celebrating Durban’s rich cultural diversity.

The event aims to support local businesses and provide a platform for small food vendors to showcase their talents.Adding to the excitement, participating kota vendors will compete for a share of R10 000 in prize money.Organisers say the festival promises a memorable experience filled with great food, entertainment and community spirit.
