A new development has emerged in the legal battle involving controversial businessman Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala, as his wife, Tsakane Matlala, has filed a harassment and cyberbullying complaint against actress Tebogo Thobejane.

The complaint, submitted this week, claims that Thobejane has engaged in defamation, intimidation, and ongoing online harassment. Tsakane asserts that the actress has tracked her movements during court appearances, creating what she describes as a hostile and distressing atmosphere.

This conflict is connected to a larger criminal case involving Matlala, who is currently detained at eBongweni Correctional Facility in Kokstad. He faces over 20 charges, including attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and money laundering.

The tensions between the parties have spilled over onto social media, where Thobejane shared a series of emotional posts, calling Tsakane a “killer” and referring to Matlala as an “nkabi.” These comments are now included in the legal complaint.

Thobejane has previously discussed the trauma she experienced after an alleged assassination attempt, stating that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. She argues that her posts express emotional distress rather than a desire to intimidate.

Tsakane’s legal team contends that these statements have harmed her reputation and safety. The case is set to return to court later this week.
