
More artists and comedians have been confirmed for the 2026 Ugu Jazz Festival 2026, Gala Dinner and Worship Experience as organisers prepare for an expanded three-day celebration on the South Coast.
Hosted by the Ugu District Municipality in partnership with Coolsounds Trading led by Siyabonga Msomi, this year’s edition follows the successful relaunch of the festival in 2025 and promises an elevated entertainment experience at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre.The festivities begin on 25 June with an exclusive Offramp Experience Gala Dinner in Comedy featuring live music, comedy and networking opportunities.
The evening will feature performances by Mondli Ngcobo and Zawadi Yamungu, alongside comedians Simphiwe Shembe, Simunye Churchboy, Mondli Mzizi and Nonto R.On 26 April, audiences will enjoy a Worship Experience headlined by celebrated gospel artists Nontokozo Mkhize, Mpumi Mtsweni. Sgwili, Mthokozisi Nkosi, Nkanyiso, Shongwe and Khuphuka, Jumbo, Malusi Mbokazi and pastors before the flagship jazz showcase takes centre stage on 27 June inside a transparent gigantic dome marquee.
This year’s line-up includes Don Laka, Siphokazi, Ernie Smith, Naledi Aphiwe, Mnqobi Yazo, Mawelele, Danya, Bongani Nkwanyana, Olefied Khetha, DJ 101, DJ Muntu Jikeleza, Fanie Dick, Tender Mavundla, DJ Mshediz and more.Organiser, Siyabonga Msomi said the program is aimed at giving festival goers a full entertainment experience while also creating opportunities for local businesses and tourism growth in the region.
“We want to create more than just a music event. The idea is to build a festival that celebrates culture, entertainment and the beauty of the South Coast while also contributing to the local economy.
