Three suspected criminals were shot and killed during a gun battle with police in Marianhill, west of Durban, on Wednesday morning.According to police, the suspects had been on the run for several serious crimes, including kidnapping, fraud, and possession of illegal firearms.
Authorities said officers tracked the suspects to the Marianhill area, where a confrontation allegedly erupted, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and police. All three suspects were declared dead at the scene.
No police injuries have been reported at this stage.Police are expected to release further details as investigations continue into the incident and the crimes linked to the deceased suspects. The identities of the suspects have not yet been made public.
