BMW has unveiled the new Vision BMW Alpina concept car at the 2026 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, giving car fans a look at the future of the Alpina brand.The reveal comes after BMW officially took control of Alpina earlier this year. The concept car combines luxury, speed and comfort, which have always been key parts of the Alpina name.
The Vision BMW Alpina features a sleek fastback design and measures more than five metres long. At the front, the vehicle has a modern version of BMW’s famous kidney grille with illuminated edges and slim LED headlights. Large alloy wheels and four oval exhaust pipes add to its sporty appearance.
Inside, the cabin focuses on luxury and comfort. The car includes full-grain leather seats with blue and green stitching, crystal driving controls and wood finishes. A special rear console also includes a hidden glass water bottle and crystal glasses that rise automatically when needed.BMW has also added its latest technology, including the Panoramic iDrive display and a head-up display that projects information onto the windscreen.
Although BMW has not yet shared full engine details, the company confirmed the concept is designed around a powerful V8 engine paired with an Alpina exhaust system. The vehicle also introduces a new Comfort+ driving mode aimed at delivering a smoother and more relaxing ride.BMW Alpina head Oliver Viellechner said the brand will help fill the gap between standard BMW models and ultra-luxury Rolls-Royce vehicles.
He added that the company wants to preserve Alpina’s reputation for speed, sophistication and comfort while expanding into the high-end luxury market.The Vision BMW Alpina concept is currently a one-off design study, but it offers a strong hint at what future Alpina models may look like.
