KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli has firmly criticized officials who are said to share private information with criminals and businesses, which could jeopardize law enforcement efforts.
Premier Ntuli made these remarks during a coordinated, intelligence-driven operation as part of the Engangeni Ngesang’ Iyafohla campaign at the Isithebe Industrial Zone.
The operation faced challenges after workers at a manufacturing firm claimed that some law enforcement officials had warned employers about the upcoming operation.
Premier Ntuli labeled those who disclose sensitive information as “barriers to progress,” cautioning that such actions will not hinder the government’s commitment to uphold the law.
“This setback will not stop us from enforcing government rules and laws that safeguard workers’ rights and promote fair labor practices,” stated Premier Ntuli.
The Premier emphasized that the government will persist in collaborating with law enforcement to combat crime and ensure adherence to regulations in workplaces and businesses.
