Kaizer Chiefs quartet Flavio Silva, Mfundo Vilakazi, Siphesihle Ndlovu and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo are all in danger of missing the upcoming Soweto Derby.
All four players are sitting on three bookings, with two matches remaining before the highly anticipated derby on Sunday, 26 April. Amakhosi travel to Limpopo to face Magesi FC on Wednesday before taking on Polokwane City on Saturday in what promises to be a demanding double-header in the province.
Chiefs head into the fixtures in strong form, having secured their fourth consecutive victory after beating TS Galaxy 2-0, with goals from Silva and Glody Lilepo. Their winning run also includes victories over Durban City FC (1-0), a 3-1 triumph against Orbit College FC, and another 2-0 win over Magesi FC in the reverse fixture.
Earlier in the season, Amakhosi edged Polokwane City—also known as Rise and Shine—1-0, thanks to a late goal from Ndlovu in just his second appearance for the club.
In terms of bookings, Silva picked up his third yellow card in a 2-1 defeat to Stellenbosch FC in February, a match in which he also scored. Vilakazi received his third caution of the campaign during a goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, Ndlovu and Ngcobo were booked in matches against Durban City and Magesi, respectively, leaving all four players walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of the derby.
